Bond 25: Does THIS prove Jack O’Connell will replace Daniel Craig as the new 007?

JAMES BOND 25 could see Jack O’Connell cast as 007 after the latest director rumours.
On Monday evening the 25th July official James Bond movie was announced, with a release date on November 2019.

While the cast – including the lead – and director are yet to be announced (Denis Villeneuve and David Mackenzie are amongst the candidates to direct the next James Bond film), the frontrunners for the latter have been revealed.

What’s really interesting is that the favourite, Yann Demange, and David Mackenzie have both directed films (Starred Up n 2013 and ’71 in 2014) starring British star Jack O’Connell.

With this in mind, there are 3 big reasons the 26-year-old actor O’Connell could be announced as the new James Bond in a few weeks.

Firstly, assuming Yann Demange (who direct 71 in 2014 starring O'Connell), who is the favourite to direct, takes the role, directors have been known to have favourite actors to work with e.g. Christopher Nolan with Tom Hardy and Michael Caine.

Secondly, O’Connell is currently at 20/1 to be the next Bond. He's an outsider because of this age, but could have 007 Bond in his furure. He said "A few elocution lessons and I'd mae a f---ing awesome James Bond wouln't I?"

Thirdly – and this is the big one – Daniel Craig was bizarrely not announced, only that 007 – as a character – would be returning.

On the possibility of playing James Bond, O’Connell told Vogue last year: “100 per cent, but I don’t think it’s realistic.”
